Global Ties Detroit will be partnering with American Councils for International Education and International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) to host ten (10) delegates participating in the Empowering Organizations Working with Refugees and Migrants in Poland program. During their stay they will be examining federal, state, and local government policies and programs to resettle and integrate refugees that arrive through U.S. Refugee Resettlement Programs as well as through other channels. They also will be learning about private sector efforts to combat discrimination and integrate immigrant and minority communities, as well as gaining insight on public-private partnerships to address the needs of refugees and immigrants.
