Global Ties Detroit will be hosting 6 delegates from the United Kingdom participating in the IVLP American Councils for International Education Performance, Arts, and Activism program. These delegates are made up of activists and performance artists who work in diverse backgrounds like freelance, acting, producing, writing, and directing. This project is designed to allow participants to explore and deepen connections between people from different communities to foster increased cooperation in their outreach and work. They will also be connecting with innovators, artists, and social activists in the metro-Detroit area to learn about practices that are underrepresented in the United Kingdom’s theater scene.
