    Promoting Human and Civil Rights of Minorities to Reduce Vulnerability and Improve Integration into Local Communities

    Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Spain, and Ukraine

    Global Ties Detroit will be hosting eleven (11) delegates from Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Republic of Türkiye, Spain, and Ukraine participating in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) Meridian International Center program Promoting Human and Civil Rights of Minorities. The objective of this program is to introduce different political and social perspectives on ethnic, cultural, gender, racial, and religious minority community rights and review the legislative framework that protects equal rights for all communities. During their stay this delegation will be examining U.S. and international initiatives to promote and protect the human rights of minority, immigrant, and refugee communities. They also will be exploring equal access to educational, economic, and healthcare opportunities for members of minority, immigrant, and refugee communities.
