Back for another year, we welcome the Exchange for Pakistani Secondary Educators/Administrators (EPSEA). Sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, Global Ties Detroit is working with Oakland University to provide an educational opportunity for secondary teachers in Pakistan to develop skills in identifying and providing support services to students who may have a learning disability or a condition that can impede learning. Global Ties Detroit is working with Oakland University to facilitate cultural activities, dinner hospitality and excursions to fully immerse the teachers into Detroit's history and community. This program reinforces the themes of education for students with disabilities, access and equity in education for all, as well as in U.S. public diplomacy goals.
