Global Ties Detroit is pleased to welcome a 6- member delegation of professionals originally from Belarus—representing urban planning, education, and community organizations—to Southeast Michigan, sponsored by the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL). During their visit, the young and mid-career professionals  will meet with local experts and counterparts in metro Detroit to explore best practices in governance, civic engagement, and urban development. They will also participate in cultural activities, community events, and stay with volunteer host families—offering a unique opportunity to experience daily life in the U.S. and build lasting cross-cultural connections.
