From April 1st - 7th, Global Ties Detroit will welcome an IVLP of twelve (12) academic professionals and digital technology experts from the Dominican Republic, Micronesia, Spain, Thailand, and various other countries, plus two liaisons. Following a project theme of "Education in the Digital Age," the educators will visit local higher learning institutions, grade schools, and technology-based learning centers to explore new K-12 learning initiatives, strategies for retooling community colleges, and expanding access to new technologies.
