    Trafficking in Persons: Prevention and Mitigation I

    Austria, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lebanon, Malta, Pakistan, Republic of North Macedonia, South Africa, Switzerland, Ukraine, and United Kingdom

    From February 26th - March 4th, Global Ties Detroit will welcome 12 anti-trafficking experts from various countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Canada, Iraq, Lebanon, Malta, Pakistan, Republic of North Macedonia, South Africa, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom participating in a International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The 12 visitors work in law enforcement, immigration, and community-based organizations to combat human and labor trafficking and aid survivors of it. Observing a project theme of "Trafficking in Persons: Prevention and Mitigation I," the delegates will meet with governmental entities, federal law enforcement agencies, and nonprofit resources to understand best practices in local enforcement mechanisms at international borders and managing the health and well-being of survivors.
