    Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Orientation, Advancing Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Empowerment

    Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam

    Thirty-five (35) English-speaking professionals from government, business, and nonprofit organizations have been selected as Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative (YSEALI) Fellows, a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by American Councils for International Education. The Fellows, representing Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, are focused on advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment in their home countries. During their three day Program Orientation in metro Detroit, the Fellows will visit key institutions and community sites that showcase the region’s economic development, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and its role in shaping American industry and innovation.
