Cheers to a successful Global Gathering

Global Ties Detroit had the honor of hosting our first 2024 Global Gathering networking event! We were joined by nearly 100 attendees, including Global Ties Detroit Board members, supporters, and community leaders, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs from more than 30 countries through our International Visitor Leadership Program and Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) programs.
At the beautiful Belle Isle Aquarium, Global Gathering guests enjoyed brief remarks from Board Chair Rosemary Max of Oakland University, and Board Members Chris Moyer of Visit Detroit, and Genevieve Rattray from the Belle Isle Conservancy highlighting the work and mission of Global Ties Detroit, the importance of citizen diplomacy and international exchange to our region, and how glad we all were to be able to join together.
We are grateful to the GTD Board, staff, our international visitors, and all who attended this event, and we want to give a special thank you to Visit Detroit and the Belle Isle Conservancy for sponsoring this event.
