Global Ties Detroit Welcomes John Zervos to Board of Directors

Global Ties Detroit is pleased to announce the addition of John Zervos, Founding Executive Director of the Henry Ford Global Health Initiative (GHI), as its newest Board Member. John Zervos's background includes over 10 years of leadership at Henry Ford Health, as well as an extensive history in the non-profit sector. Before his tenure at Henry Ford Health, Zervos served as the Vice-Chair of Detroit’s Free Legal Aid Clinic (FLAC) while he was enrolled in law school. The Detroit Free Legal Aid Clinic is a Detroit-based non-profit that provides free legal aid to low-income victims of domestic violence and the elderly.
John Zervos has always had a passion for citizen diplomacy and international exchange. This passion has led him to his leadership role at the Henry Ford Global Health Initiative, where he focuses on establishing and sustaining mutually beneficial international and domestic partnerships with ministries of health, hospitals, and universities to secure funding that supports global activities.

Zervos’s eagerness to make a positive international impact, along with his background in non-profits and international partnerships, makes him a great addition to the Global Ties Detroit Board of Directors. John has served as a professional host for Global Ties Detroit numerous times and is a valuable asset to our organization. His inclusion and contributions to our Board of Directors will help Global Ties Detroit create a more peaceful and prosperous world through international exchange and citizen diplomacy.
