Global Ties Detroit Welcomes Teresa Holderer To Board Of Directors

Global Ties Detroit is delighted to announce the addition of Teresa Holderer as Global Ties Detroit’s newest board member. Teresa’s background includes working as an international attorney at GM for more than 20 years and serving as Vice President-Head of Legal Europe for Enterprise Holdings. Her career included opportunities to live and work abroad, in both Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Teresa comes from a background where she’s always had interests in international relations and learning about other cultures. She studied abroad in Chile as a high school student and recently hosted a high school exchange student from Kazakhstan for five months. Teresa and her husband Steve hosted multiple dinners for Global Ties Detroit international delegations. Before relocating to metro Detroit she was active in other organizations involved in citizen diplomacy.
“My husband and I were active with the World Affairs Council in St Louis. When we moved to Detroit in 2021, I searched for a similar organization.”
In her role at Enterprise Holdings Teresa was a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Europe as well as the U.S., managing a wide range of legal matters and international transactions. Before her career at Enterprise, Teresa worked at GM at various positions including leading corporate alliances and strategic initiatives. During her career, she negotiated deals in many countries including Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and the U.S.
