Global Ties Detroit Welcomes Tu Le to Board of Directors!

Global Ties Detroit is proud to welcome Tu Le, founder of Sino Auto Insights, to our Board of Directors. A globally minded leader with deep expertise in international mobility, market analysis, and cross-cultural collaboration, Tu brings a unique and timely perspective to our work as we continue strengthening Detroit’s global connections through international exchange.
As the founder of Sino Auto Insights, Tu leads a consultancy that helps organizations around the world understand and navigate the rapidly shifting global transportation and mobility landscape. His work centers on bridging insights between Asian and Western markets—particularly in electric vehicles, mobility technology, and supply chain innovation. Before establishing Sino Auto Insights, Tu spent years working abroad, cultivating a truly international career shaped by collaboration across cultures, industries, and sectors.
Tu’s global background is matched by his passion for fostering understanding across borders. He shared that joining Global Ties Detroit felt like a natural extension of his personal and professional journey:
“I was so used to being part of an international community before moving back to Michigan that it really seemed like a natural fit to be engaged with it here,” he said. “I also wanted to make sure my boys continue to be exposed to other cultures outside the ones they are used to, so I am trying to set a good example for them.”
Tu is eager to contribute his expertise—particularly at the intersection of transportation, technology, and global problem-solving—to support Global Ties Detroit’s mission.
“I hope with my unique background and experiences I can bring a dimension that may not already be part of the amazing organization and board,” he explained. “Being in the Motor City, I want to help educate folks here on how differently transportation and mobility work in other parts of the world. And as we host visitors, I also want to learn how they solve transportation challenges in their own countries.”
Even in his short time with Global Ties Detroit, Tu has already experienced the energy and community that define our organization. His favorite memory so far? The Annual Dinner.
“A major highlight was the dinner hosted last week,” he shared. “Celebrating our partners and seeing all the other people and organizations who share some of our priorities—and being able to meet and interact with them so early in my tenure—should help me hit the ground running.”
Tu is also looking ahead with excitement and ambition.
“I am really looking forward to 2026,” he said. “I hope to contribute ideas, take part in many events, and hopefully host one or two myself. I also look forward to meeting more people from other countries and showing them what Detroit, Michigan, and the United States are all about.”
