Milestones in the Making: Our 25th CAMCA Fellowship Session
    November 28, 2022

This fall the Foundation reached an exciting milestone of our CAMCA Fellowship Program as we hosted our 25th cohort of Fellows in Washington, D.C! With the addition of the recent Fall 2022 Fellows (learn more about the entire group here), we have been delighted to support over 250 Fellows since the program’s establishment in 2008. To commemorate these milestones and the program’s development, we asked a few representatives from our Fall session to share some impressions from their time as Fellows and to reflect on the impact of their experience. As one Fellow noted, “Now fourteen years since this program began, it is apparent how great of a visionary Donald Rumsfeld was. I feel a deep sense of appreciation and admiration for his aspirations and strategic mindset for tomorrow’s leaders of Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and Afghanistan.” We hope you enjoy hearing firsthand from our newest CAMCA Fellows.

    A Summer of Success
    October 14, 2022

Global Ties Detroit - an organization that is breaking barriers and defying stereotypes one program at a time.

Within the past 6 months, I’ve had the privilege of working at Global Ties Detroit as one of their Program Assistants. As a Program Assistant, I get to enjoy a wide variety of responsibilities and opportunities. When I’m in the office, my time is filled researching local resources for incoming programs, developing program proposals and itineraries, and aiding our team when they need an extra hand. Though times in the office can (and do) get busy, the biggest reward is getting to see all of our work come to life through the programs. Connecting with the fellows is the most fulfilling part about working at Global Ties Detroit. — It’s why we do what we do!
